LONG-TERM DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM (LTDP)
TThe Long-Term Development Program is designed specifically for goaltenders and families throughout Rural Alberta who are looking for consistent, high-quality coaching without having to travel to major centres every week.
Rather than operating from a single location, Commit Goaltending delivers programming throughout the region, with training opportunities regularly available in communities such as Whitecourt, Mayerthorpe, Evansburg, and Drayton Valley. Depending on the season and program requirements, additional training opportunities may also be offered in St. Albert, Spruce Grove, and the Edmonton area.
By combining on-ice training, classroom education, video review, mentorship, and online resources, the LTDP creates a connected development experience that extends beyond the rink. This approach allows athletes to receive consistent coaching, clear direction, and ongoing support regardless of where they live.
At its core, the LTDP is built on a simple philosophy: fundamentals first, progression over time, and accountability through structure. Every session has a purpose. Every phase builds on the last. The goal is to help goaltenders develop confidence, consistency, and trust in their game throughout every stage of their hockey journey.
